care for your succulent

Let your succulent dry between waterings. Generally we water the open containers once a week and more closed bottle terrariums every two or 3 weeks. Just wait until all the soil is a lighter color.

Succulents can be inside or outside, in shade or in sun. They are really hardy and easy plants to grow. If your succulent gets too large just cut it at any spot and plant the top either outside, next to the mom plant, or in a separate container. We recommend use or reclaimed cups, vases, or containers.

If you inquired a succulent bottle, it is best off in a shadier environment, as the humidity in the bottle can hurt the plants leaves if in direct sunlight.

Care Instructions for your Air Plant

Airplants (Tillandsia spp.) originate from the Latin American rainforest, though naturally the ones we sell are born and naturalized in the US.

Your airplant can live without being in soil, infact it should not be planted in soil, as this would cause the base to rot. They are at their best in containers, glasses, jars, or vases with some sand or rocks to trap the extra moisture and provide additional air-borne nutrients.

Mist your airplant with water one- three times a week. The more closed the container the less water they require. Make sure to not have the plant sitting in water. You can also dunk them under running water once a week and shake them dry before you place them back in their container.

Airplants do fine in indirect sunlight, or shade. We do not recommend them for a south-facing window, but you can experiment with it, some people say that they have had theirs on the window for years.

To encourage a healthy bloom, fertilize them with orchid fertilizer mixed in the water during the warm season. Any brand will work, just follow the label instructions.
