endangered art animals from reclaimed material

A new collection at Fernseed from artist and designer Kristi Holohan of Oakland. She hand-made all these stuffed animals out of reclaimed materials from upholstery fabric, torn blankets and scrap fabric. She used thread, yard and buttons reclaimed from the Creative Depot in Berkeley. Designs are of different endangered species, including elephant, owls, cranes, cats, fish, tiger and also the human heart (very poetic!). Not all items shown in image. Price varies depending how involved the design work was to create each item. $26-$48
