Fernseed.com features a small collection of what is offered at the Fernseed store, a sustainable retailer in Oakland. We reclaim products no longer desired or needed, and usually discarded otherwise. If we can make these products more valuable, we can keep them out of the landfill. So we refabricate to make them look fresh and modern, or we invent new purpose to give these products a second chance. Reusing is a much better alternative to buying new. Extending the life of a pre-own product will help reduce our need for new virgin materials, new energy and more landfill .
