A glass teapot the size of a cup, worthless, if you ask me. What's the point? Make tea in your cup, right? Well, not worthless as a beautiful terrarium that holds succulents and ferns planted on moss, organic soil, gravel, white pebbles and sand. Needs very little watering, due to the condensation element of the vessel. $24. On sale for $12

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.fernseed.com/plants-flowers/2010/5/21/tillandsia-fasciculata-on-collectors-rock.html"><rss:title>tillandsia fasciculata on collector's rock</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.fernseed.com/plants-flowers/2010/5/21/tillandsia-fasciculata-on-collectors-rock.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

The funny and wonderful thing about air plants is that they do not need soil. They can sit on a windowsill, in a bottle, or on a very old collector's rock. All you gotta do is mist this beautiful blooming Tillandsia once a week (or dunk it under running water once a week). Indirect sunlight is recommended. In bloom, this flower will look like what we know as the common Bromeliad. The plant is 8" tall. $12

By the way, the rock is super cool too.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.fernseed.com/plants-flowers/vintage-12-apothecary-terrarium.html"><rss:title>vintage 12" apothecary terrarium</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.fernseed.com/plants-flowers/vintage-12-apothecary-terrarium.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

This reclaimed vintage glass bottle was repurposed into a terraria containing fern, succulents, reclaimed drainage rocks, organic soil, reclaimed planter moss, gravel, river pebbles, river stones, a found branch, and several collector's rocks. It is currently being offered with its mini-me versions (scroll further for additional info on the mini's). This large bottle stands 12" high with a 6.5" base diameter. Bottle has harmless chips at the mouth, hence reclaimed. As is for $65.

This vase was frost, and although it was lovely, it was not popular because it was boring. Did you know graffiti paint works super well on glass? A little color update to make it more stylish. I am not a fan of cut flowers in general. It's always sad to see them die after 3 or 4 days. I use drain rocks to replace the lacking drain hole, then I add soil and plants to create longer lasting green life. This vase comes with the plant. Vase is 8" high. With plant it is 14" high. $16

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.fernseed.com/plants-flowers/mixed-bonatical-terrarium.html"><rss:title>mixed bonatical terrarium</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.fernseed.com/plants-flowers/mixed-bonatical-terrarium.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

This large terrerium stands 11" high. It was a vase that looked like plain jane when used with flowers, but as a terraria house, it is one of the best I've worked with. The shape naturally allows the plants to grow and expand. Includes a mix of outdoor plants, including a variety of succulents. Planted with drain rocks, new sand, organic soil, river stones and a collector's rock. $45

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.fernseed.com/plants-flowers/2010/5/17/jam-jar-succulents.html"><rss:title>jam jar succulents</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.fernseed.com/plants-flowers/2010/5/17/jam-jar-succulents.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

We even reuse our own products. These jam jars were first designed as terrariums, but the plants outgrew the jars. So we decided to create planters out of these once-unwanted jars. They originally arrived without the middle lid piece and not usable. A little paint, sand, organic soil and blooming succulents change things a bit, right?
Air plants in various repurposed or refabbed vessels. These do not require soil, so they can be arranged easily using sand and river stones.
